| children, especially their youngest, who needed formula. They had no family in town to assist them. Hearing about 2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares, John called for help.
John discovered services he didn’t know existed. His family qualified for temporary funding to pay their rent. Support for childcare allowed John’s wife to find work. A food pantry provided food for his children. John took classes to learn new job skills, and received assistance in finding new employment. To meet their needs and plan for the future, John and his wife took free financial education classes which taught them to balance a budget, reduce their debt, improve their credit and save for their own home.
